As a young girl, I was lucky enough to be blessed with a mother who religiously took off her make-up every night (and impressed on us how IMPORTANT that was), and then proceeded to put on 5 different layers of hydrating masks, serums, and creams to protect against everything from sun rays to aging.

I’ve carried this divinity towards skincare with me as I’ve gotten older, loving dewy, glowing skin and a fresh, clean face. Unfortunately, I have slight rosea on my cheeks and the dry, sensitive skin that comes with it. I’ve always bounced between different skincare products and felt I needed to wear foundation CONSTANTLY to obtain an even skin tone.

That was until the lovely ladies at Violet Grey turned me onto African Botanics. The company draws its rare products from Africa, originally designing skin care to protect against the rough African climate and thankfully for us, has brought it global.

My favorite product, and the one I wear every day as my basic facial moisturizer, is the Neroli Infused Marula Oil. It has high amounts of anti-imflammitory oils, great for stressed and sensitive skin – both oily and dry! The Resurrection Cell Recovery Serum and the Fleurs d’Afrique Intensive Recovery Oil have become my nightly face routine, right before covering my body in both the Marula Firming Botanical Body Oil and the Marula Botanical Body Cream. Hello hydration!

Other products in this post: Le Labo Rose 31 Perfume, RMS Living Luminizer, M2 Beatue Lash Serum.

A big thanks to African Botanics for partnering on this post!
