Before I left for NYC, my sister warned me of the intense humid, heatwave passing over the East Coast (as per usual in July), so I picked up a few light weight dresses to survive the stickiness. Not too many though, as sale shopping in NYC in July is INSANE. I landed on this black and white Reformation number and was on my way.
Now, as one does fairly limited walking in LA unless intentional hiking is involved, I was not too concerned with the deep slits up the side of this dress. More ventilation, if you will. It didn’t occur to me until I was standing in the middle of the street in the West Village giving full on tush shots to my photographer, Alexandra, and every other cab driver in NYC. I was hysterical-in between every “I’m looking down pretending to be a model” shot, there’s a “HOLD ON, HAHAHAHA, I CAN FEEL THE SUN ON MY ASS!” shot.
Moral of the story, always do the windy city test with your dresses. New York City, you’re funny.
