Is it just me or has this year already flown by? I’m sitting here, thinking about 4th of July plans creeping up in 2 weeks and feeling like I was just celebrating a new year with new goals and new friends yesterday. I’ve never been one to dwell on “time” but seriously, I have no idea where it went. And then I think back on the last 5 1/2 months…my younger sister graduating college and moving to Manhattan (PROUD), the launch of this very blog, all of a sudden I’m a content curator and am in the process of joining forces with some other amazing creatives to launch a new company (more on this coming soon!) So, I’d say, time well spent.
Due to the various reasons listed above, it’s been over a year since I’ve been home to Northern Michigan and there’s no better time I can think of than the 4th of July to pay my dear upper mitten a visit. It’s the annual Cooper family reunion at our Torch lake house where the cherries stain your mouth and hands crimson, the water is crystal clear and the views are endless. I am looking forward to disconnecting with those that mean the most.
