I have always known I wanted to own my own business. Both of my parents are entrepreneurs and advocates for actively creating the life you want, one step at a time. So you could say I was raised an “out of the box” thinker but really, it’s something you’re born with. Ask any entrepreneur. Sometimes people ask me, “How did you do it? Go out on your own and start something from scratch?” I usually answer, “how could I not?” At the point where I couldn’t imagine not doing it, that’s when it really began.
When Creative Start reached out to me a few weeks back asking to interview me on all things creatively entrepreneurial, I couldn’t have been more excited. I’ve learned so much through the process of starting a creative business, and continue to learn and grow every single day. Creative Start was founded by Cortnee Brown, a serial creative entrepreneur, who wanted to shed light on how some of the world’s favorite creatives got their start and how it’s possible for others with a passion to do the same. I mean, where was this when I was in school? This is the stuff I wanted to learn!
Visit getyourcreativestart.com for the full interview, as well as a link to the podcast. I’ll be answering questions via the @creativestart instagram Thursday this week, so be sure to ask anything and everything you want to know there. Enjoy!
