At the start of 2015, I made a small pact with myself. It went a little something like this: “Chelsea, I promise that when I book meetings for this blog that I will wear heels to every single one of them.” That simple. Now this may seem almost obligatory to a lot of you, but to a girl who adores both style AND comfort it is imperative that I make a conscious effort to add a little height, sometimes at the expense of feeling my toes.

However, these Cole Haan suede pumps are a true exception. They’re like little puffs of a cloud (Nike Airwalk soles if we’re getting technical) every time you step down and a dream height that adds length to your legs but still looks “everyday”. I’m an average 5’5 on a good day, so even a few inches make a difference. While Cole Haan does a great job with basics, there are a few other brands I swear by when it comes to combining style and comfort in a closed toe heel.

Topshop: My favorite affordable pump. Both Topshop and Zara make great everyday heels with a little flare at a great price.

Valentino Rockstud Slingbacks: Girls, I’m sure anyone lucky enough to wear these pumps can attest. These babies are like custom fit, little glass slippers and worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY. They have brilliant support around the middle of the foot and the ankle and come in a variety of colors.

Vince: The best d’Orsay pumps I’ve found to date. The leather is buttery soft and the heel is a perfect 3 inches.
