Vests are my go-to, add a little extra “something” to almost any outfit. Leather is what I normally gravitate towards, however as we move into spring we will be seeing a ton of 70’s inspired suede popping up on our favorite designer’s racks. I don’t know about you guys on the East Coast, but with minimal precipitation hitting LA, really ever, suede is going to be a staple for me on top of everything from gingham button downs to silk mini dresses.
This particular outfit was perfect for an early morning coffee at my favorite neighborhood spot, Alfred Coffee & Kitchen on Melrose Place. Anyone who knows me can attest here-I LOVE a good cappuccino and luckily living here, we’re usually only a block or two away from a trendy little spot. (Stay tuned in the coming weeks as I will be reviewing my favorite coffee spots all over LA).
As I mentioned in a post earlier this week, between my morning sweaty workouts, meetings all over the city, and time spent behind a computer screen, I could be in 3 different outfits in one day. Layering, especially with hats and vests, is an awesome way to change up your look and move from morning to night easily.
