This loose blouse and warm neutral tones were a perfect match for a Southern California evening. Even though I’ve always been more of a sunrise rather than a sunset girl, there really is something soft and romantic about evening light. The warm hues dipping their way over the Pacific always seem to have a way of slowing me down wherever I’m at, even if just for a second, to appreciate what’s most important in this life. And this week, that’s my girlfriends.
Earlier this week I went to grab a bite to eat and a few drinks with some girls at Gracias Madre in WeHo. (Holy fab decor and killer pure-ita…ya feel me?) A few of the them were friends of friends, but I knew the second we started double dipping in the guacamole that these rad chicks were my kind of people. We laughed until we cried, we ate cake, literally, and we might have even filmed a short video on the best hashtags for Instagram? (It may be our big break in this town.)
I walked away from dinner happy and powerful- “filled up”, if you will. And as amazing as the food and comedy were, what attracted me to all of these women was something bigger. Everyone was up to different things but we were linked in something greater. It was that fire that woke each of us up every morning with a light in our eyes and a passion in our hearts to create our best possible life. I mean, talk about #GIRLBOSS.
LADIES, my advice to you is to find your people. Find your #GIRLBOSSES. Find those women that bring out the best in you and are up to things just as grand as you are. And, it doesn’t hurt to share a margarita and film a short video along the way.
